The idea that braces are just for young people is a big misconception. Correcting teeth at a young age often makes sense, as this is when alignment problems will first start to show, and most people will want to get the issue sorted out right away. As long as your gums and jaw bones are healthy, people at any age can use braces to realign their teeth and make their perfect smile.
What Are Braces?
Braces come in quite a few different forms, though the idea is always the same; they are a frame which sits around your teeth to realign them. Over the course of a few months or years, your braces will be tightened, slowly but surely realigning your teeth into the shape you want for them.
This sort of treatment can help with all kinds of misalignments. Over and under bites are very common amongst adults, and so are single misaligned teeth, making it hard for a lot of adults to be confident with their smiles. With just a few short months using braces, though, you could regain the confidence you used to have.
What Makes Our Braces Different?
One of the key turn offs for a lot of adults looking at braces is the way these dental tools look. Often bulky, easy to spot, and making mouths look like they’re filled with metal, it can be hard for a lot of people to imagine themselves going to work or engaging in dates with braces. But our braces are different, and we offer several options to make sure that you’re picking one which works for you.
- 6 Month Smile Braces: Our 6 Month Smile Braces are one of our most popular dental products, offering a huge improvement to your smile in just half a year. The brackets are ceramic and the wires are made to be the same color as teeth, making them almost invisible to anyone who isn’t looking directly at your teeth.
- Invisalign: At this point, most people have heard of Invisalign. This product revolves around using clear aligners which change shape over the course of your treatment to realign your teeth. Even people talking to you won’t be able to see this treatment option, though it’s cost reflects this.
- Raintree: Raintree aligners are very similar to Invisalign. Instead of being made in a lab, we can produce these clear aligners in our office, reducing the price and offer a faster turn around than the alternatives.
A lot of dentists are still using very old school options for their braces. This can make it hard for people to feel comfortable with their smiles, and will often lead to discomfort down the line. As you can see, though, all of the options we offer don’t suffer with this.
We encourage anyone who is considering braces to give our clinic a call or an email. Our friendly team will be happy to help with any questions you have, while also providing you with information which will help you with your teeth in the future.
